Oh my… the LONG awaited day has come… one of the most exciting events of our year… the baby chicks are here! Hooray!
Every year, we welcome farmers from Quiver Farms to come and teach our students about animal lives, in particular, baby chicks! After a few delays due to weather, this annual event finally took place!
This year we welcomed Farmer Ed from Quiver Farms. He brought a rooster and hen with him to class to give his special presentation about the life cycle of chicks. Additionally, he brought chick eggs in their incubators and explained to the children what to expect over the next week.
For the next week, the eggs remained in their incubators until the day finally came when they hatched!
We are proud to announce the birth of the little, yellow, furry babies – we just love hearing those chirps! What a fun, educational experience for the children.
