Multicultural Month Celebrated at Private Preschool

March 23, 2015

March is Multicultural Month at Home Away From Home Academy, and we celebrate like no other!  During Heritage Week, the school transforms into a mini Epcot Center, with each classroom representing a different country.  The children first enter into Ellis Island where they have their passport stamped, sign the Wall of Honor, and get a medical inspection by the 60-second doctors.  Then, the S.S. HAFHA sets sail as the children “travel” from country to country learning about all the different cultures.  This year we represented Greece, England, China, Japan, Alaska, Brazil, and Egypt.  The suitcases are filled with souvenirs, and passports full of stamps.  Such an exciting, educational event!

Home Away From Home Academy has been a private preschool in New Jersey for 25 years. We provide advanced education to children from three months to seven years of age. Our goal is to advance and enhance the development of a positive self-esteem in each of our students. We’re always looking to grow our family so give us a call and book a tour today!
